The 11th "Explore Northern Cross-Island Highway • Ride Roma Road" Sakura Warrior Cycling Event has successfully wrapped up for 2026. This exciting two-day extravaganza attracted 807 registrants, with 635 riders triumphantly crossing the finish line.

This year's brand-new route kicked off from Cihu and took riders along the scenic Roma Road. Cyclists were treated to breathtaking riverside views of the Dahan River, got to experience rich indigenous tribal culture, and had plenty of opportunities to take a break at various stylish local cafes along the way.

Among the participants, a foreign cyclist who has lived in Taiwan for 10 years shared that while some stretches were quite challenging, the light traffic and stunning vistas made the ride incredibly rewarding—proving that perseverance pays off. The event also saw inspiring young riders, aged just 11 and 15, conquer the route and successfully complete the challenge.

The organizers would like to remind everyone that safety always comes first on the road. With its mesmerizing natural scenery, the Northern Cross-Island Highway is a fantastic destination whether you're up for a cycling challenge or just a peaceful stroll.
