The design lantern can be seen again at Longtan Pond
2022 Taoyuan Lantern Festival was visited by more than 200,000 people. The Peacock lantern that was originally hidden in the main lantern, Sky City, after 2 months of renovation, reappeared at Longtan Pond! Sky City was co-created by Billy Canning, designer of the New Year's Eve crystal ball at Times Square, New York, and lighting artist Sammy Liu. The stunning sound and light effects brought many visitors here to snap some shots during the festival.

In order to extend the life of popular lanterns from the festival, the most popular Peacock lantern was relocated to Longtan Pond. This work was also submitted to the Red Dot Design Award for consideration. In the future, Longtan Pond will present a more versatile look and romantic atmosphere. In daylight, the Peacock and the water will present colorful and changing light and shadows. At night, the light show and the colorful lighting of the suspension bridge will complement each other. Longtan Pond will be even more beautiful day and night!

The Peach Blossom Forest lantern from 2022 Taoyuan Lantern Festival received the Italian A' Design Award
Another popular lantern, Peach Blossom Forest, recently won in the Lighting Products and Lighting Projects Design category of the Italian A' Design Award. This artwork from Taoyuan was applauded internationally!

Peach Blossom Forest is a 360-degree LED light installation showcasing the agricultural image of Taoyuan's flowers of four seasons and the "one themed flower for every recreational farm district" campaign. Winning the international design award is an affirmation for the Taoyuan Lantern Festival. In the future, the city government will continue to create lanterns of Taoyuan's characteristics, aiming to give participants who visit every year a different experience!
