Recruitment of tour guides! Registration for Japanese speaking tour guides in Daxi

To promote the history and culture of Daxi Old Street and attract Japanese tourists to the place for an in-depth tour, the Department of Tourism of Taoyuan City Government is recruiting Japanese speaking tour guides. Those who are fluent in Japanese and wish to interact with Japanese tourists are welcome to register. Those who have completed the training and meet the qualifications will have the chance to actually guide Japanese tourists for an in-depth tour of Daxi Old District.

Enriching training course, in-depth tour of Daxi Old District
Apart from the century-old archway and Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park retaining its original ecology, Daxi was also chosen as one of Taiwan's top 10 tourist cities and classic towns, and is also an important tourist spot the City actively promotes. According to the statistics of the Tourism Bureau, MOTC, Japan tourists exceeded 2 million in 2019, making them an important group of foreign tourists. To continue to raise Daxi's tourism capacity and visibility, the Department of Tourism of Taoyuan City Government is recruiting 60 Japanese speaking guides for Daxi. Taoyuan welcomes friends who have the passion and hope to gain experience in Japanese guided service to sign up for the training. This program offers extensive training to enhance the trainees' knowledge in Daxi's culture and history, Japanese conversational proficiency, and tour guide capabilities. Those who pass the test and are recruited will have the chance to guide Japanese tourists for an in-depth tour of Daxi Old District. The tour is about 2.5 hours and covers Daxi's Martial Arts Dojo, Native History Hall, Zhongzheng Park, Puji Temple, Caodianwei, Heping Old Street, etc.
