The 82-year-old former warehouse of the TRA Taoyuan Station has been revamped to reveal its new look as the Taoyuan Railway Pavilion, which is a new tourist attraction with the functions of education and tourism. Its exterior retains the original Japanese-Western Mixing Architecture style. The MRT excavation shield machines and tunnel boring machines are displayed outside the Pavilion. Inside the Pavilion, there are a historical area, a technical area, a vision area, a transportation library and a multimedia interactive area, so that the public can understand the development of Taoyuan railways through the detailed graphic and text descriptions, documentaries, and so forth.
