Mongolian Representative Visits Taoyuan City Hall to Enhance Cooperation Between the Two Sides on Tourism, Cultural Exchange, and Economic and Trade Relations
Representative Lkhagvasuren Zolzaya and Deputy Representative Altandush Ulziibat from the Ulaanbaatar Trade and Economic Representative Office visited Taoyuan City Hall recently to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides on tourism, cultural exchange, and economic and trade relations, with the goal of deepening the image of Taoyuan City as the “Worldwide Tourism Friendly City.”

Since the Taiwan and Mongolian governments established representative offices in 2002, both sides have actively engaged in exchanges across various fields, including tourism, cultural exchange, and medical care. The Taipei International Travel Fair has actively promoted Mongolian tourism over the years.

Mongolia is a mysterious country with a rich cultural and historical heritage. Traveling by train to enjoy the magnificent scenery along the railway lines is an excellent tourism choice. As the gateway to Taiwan, Taoyuan City boasts unique tourism resources, such as the distinctive Fuxing District, which not only offers a rich tribal culture but also features ancient sacred trees and distinct four-season landscapes. In the vast and resource-rich country of Mongolia, on the other hand, tourists can experience outdoor activities such as staying in a Mongolian ger, stargazing, and horse riding. With the Mongolian Government actively promoting tourism from 2023 to 2025, cooperation between Taiwan and Mongolia in the fields of tourism, cultural exchange, and medical care will become more extensive. Mongolia highly welcomes travelers from Taiwan.
